There are some things that people say to me that ALWAYS move me regardless of how many times I hear it. One of those things is when someone tells me that I inspire them. Talk about a boost in my faith tank. I never ever get tired of hearing that because it serves to be a checkpoint in my life that I am nothing with God. It strengthens me when I share things with people to encourage them even when I know the topics are touchy or not widely talked about yet I still decide to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit despite their unpopularity.
I can't even tell you how humbled I am to be where I am at this point in my life to have had and continue to have divine opportunities to be a servant of the most High God. For God to pick me to encourage someone at the park when I was there to enjoy a walk. To be amazed when God uses something I hadn't expected to get His message to me about what to do next or what to write about next. To pray with someone whom I just met and have no idea if they are Jesus followers or not, If you don't know this by now, it is very common for God to start to use you in small ways before He may allow you to be used to speak to an audience of 15 or 2000 or 7 million. I truly believe that how we love others is a big part of these small steps that lead to greater opportunities. Matter of fact in Revelation 2:4, Christ is speaking to the church of Ephesus and reminding them that ".. you have left your first love." In other words, it's not enough just to know about worshipping, obeying, and reading one's Bible, but we must be devoted to the truth of Christ and have a heartfelt passion to love Him above everything else. So if you happen to forget who has given you these divine opportunities and you think it's all about you and your plans, Christ warns it is imperative that you return back to your first love. So when someone tells me I inspire them and then they proceed to tell me why, I am ALWAYS reminded of my first love.
Do you see the picture above? I took this picture from the car while I was stopped at a red light in Colorado not too long ago. I repeat, the light was red as you can see from this picture, and I was stopped so don't be taking pictures while driving just food for thought lol. The reason I took this picture is because this was the precise moment that the Holy Spirit inspired me to write this article and told me what to say, and I wasn't expecting that. I wasn't expecting this, because I was just going about my day enjoying the magnificent views and serenity.
The reason I was in the great state of Colorado was because I was participating in a women's conference. Each and every single day during the conference, I began to have so many different women come up to me who had never met me and only heard me share what was in my heart tell me how I inspired them. I can't tell you how many times I was asked to share how I started which would ultimately lead to me being at this women's conference in Colorado. Sometimes I felt as if I was on repeat. Finally, I asked a few of them why were they so interested in how I got "started", and individually their answers were similar which had to do with my presence and light. Trust me there is no need for me to "toot my own horn", but this was not the first time I had heard this. I just continued to smile, because their separate answers constantly reminded me of my first love.
If you are reading this article and happen to be someone who feels inspired by me, I want you to know I thank you. It's not me, but it's God in me. It's my journey, it's my mistakes, and it's my never quenched thirst to fulfill my purpose while I am alive on this earth. You see I know that my time on this earth is limited so once I connected with that fact, I decided that I DO NOT plan to spend the rest of my life living on a "hamster wheel." Matter of fact in case you hadn't noticed, your time on this earth is limited too,
Whatever inspiration you may have drawn from me know that it was divinely inspired. God only used me to get a message to you or perhaps confirm something you already knew. I'm just a vessel, and God is the ONLY one who knows what you need. You must always think about why a particular thing or person inspired you? It's okay to ask God why did He use that person, thing, or even Tracy to get your attention on a particular matter. At the end of the day if you learned something or decided to change something in your life to be more Christlike, God's goals were accomplished and that's all that truly matters.
Inspiration goes both ways, and just like when I hear someone tell me I inspire them, they too inspire me as I continue to listen to them. When I think about it, they may start off saying, "Hey, Tracy...." and within a few minutes, their conversation turns to God this and God that and I LOVE hearing that. Sometimes they don't realize that God is using them at that moment to encourage me or to confirm something to me that I have prayed about. So always be prepared to inspire and to be inspired. Just like the picture I took above, God's timing is always perfect. As I reflect back on that precise moment, I remember what I was thinking about during this time and it had nothing to do with this article but in a twinkling of an eye, God inspired me. Trust me God has all kinds of ways and methods to get you what you need. So I say to you learn to be flexible for Jesus, be available, and let God use you to be a vessel of inspiration.
