My prayer for you this week is that God would use someone else to step into your life and give you a big hug. That's right--a big hug. I pray that this hug will be warm and welcoming and provides a taste as to what it feels like to rest in the arms of Jesus. Be at peace this week. Smile more. Spread God's love. Be patient with other people, and give of your time! May you be reminded this week of the reason why we celebrate Christmas. Until we meet again, have a great week!!
The countdown to Christmas is steadily approaching. This past week was over-the-top for me in a very special way. I loved seeing the snow outside once again, and it added an extra touch to the spirit of Christmas. Also, this past week I have been reflecting on the love of God. I know this is a simple message, but doesn't it feel good to know that God loves you and me. I mean we serve a mighty god. One whose love transcends time and age. Our God is the very essence of love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, hope, faith, and joy. I know I don't deserve all the goodness that God provides to me, BUT because Jesus lives, so can I. Because Jesus is my standard and my example, I can come boldly to God and I am eligible to receive all the goodness that God desires to send my way. You mean so much to God, and you are not here by accident. I want you to focus more on how you intend to finish vs. only focusing on how you started. I don't want you to look at this Christmas season with the lens from the past. Instead, I want you to look at this Christmas season with the lens of your future. A future that can be filled with such possibilities and opportunities. Listen to me loud and clear, "God loves you." I hope you understand that because it bares repeating, "God loves you." I don't want you sitting around sad, lonely, and all by yourself. Instead, I want you to be intentional about receiving God's love and getting out so that you are not sad and lonely.
