So for me to even feel I should write this article i s a bit of a stretch for me. There are and will be times in your life in which a person you are interested in may not be able to successfully move on from a past relationship. Let me say this, not all relationships end badly, and sometimes these types of relationships make the thought of a future with someone else virtually impossible, because of a longing for what they had before.
People have a right to move at a pace they think is good for them when past love has left a really big hole in their heart. Asking a person to move forward in their life who is not ready to move on is like mixing oil and water. It just doesn’t go together.
Some women are known to stick around and wait forever when they feel or sense a small glimmer of hope from a man they want to spend the rest of their life with. Some men will even go out their way in showing a woman that they can feel safe with them when they are also interested in a particular woman. Although both viewpoints are quite heroic, they will be pointless if the person you see a future with is preoccupied with longing for a former relationship.
God is the only heart healer needed when love hurts too much. No matter what you could possibly think of to be noticed by the person you are interested in, you cannot make a person be with you who doesn’t want to stay. So please don’t sit around thinking something is wrong with you or that you are not good enough. God has work for you to do, and He has plans to do good by you.
When you come to terms with the fact that this person is just hurting too much for something that you cannot give to them at this point in their life, things will begin to get easier for you and you can refocus your attention elsewhere. You deserve to be loved, and there is someone else out there for you who is ready for you right now. So, get ready for something new!
I am a proponent of not giving up too easily.
