Being a single parent is not a death sentence. Yes, it certainly gets hard to manage so much responsibility, but it is not impossible. All year you spend so much time shuffling your children around and managing your household that you may forget to take time to plan and go on a vacation with your children. I do not mean the kind of vacation time that you squeeze in while you are doing something else. You know the "killing two birds with one stone" kind of thing. I mean a bona fide vacation. See the thing about a vacation is they do not have to be expensive. Children want to spend time with you, and it does not have to be elaborate. What matters is the quality of time spent without outside interruptions. I do realize younger children differ than teens. However, if your children, regardless of age, know you really want to be with them, they will not care about the location because they know you have done the best you can do. So stop the presses on all that takes up your time, and go make some unforgettable memories with your children and do not let money or busyness stop you.
